As New York Fashion week approaches Refinery29 caught up with emerging designers Thom Browne, Shipley & Halmos, Erin Fetherston, Band of Outsiders, and Preen as they prepare to reveal their sartorial propositions for the Fall/Winter 2008 season. It's fascinating to watch the desingers in their natural habit of work, preparation, and downtime from the mania of selecting models, focusing on the statement the clothes will make, and finishing garments with stylists and assistants.
